Little Caesars 99's defeat Toronto Marlboros in OTThe Little Caesars 99 AAA team won the 2010 International Silver Sticks Championship in a 3-2 overtime against the Toronto Marlboros on Sunday afternoon in Sarnia, Ontario. Dallas Maurovic scored the game-winning goal. “I’m very happy and proud of our team. I thought all the boys played extremely hard over the weekend. This championship will be something they’ll remember for the rest of their lives,” said Head Coach Scott Brickey.
Little Caesars advanced to Sunday with a 2-0-1 record. On Friday LC defeated Mississauga Reps 5-3 and then skated to a 5-5 tie against the London Jr. Knights. On Saturday, Little Caesars defeated the Burlington Eagles 6-2 to advance to Sunday as the #3 seed.
On Sunday morning Little Caesars defeated the Oakville Rangers 3-1 to advance to the final at 4:00.
